2011 Dulles National Soccer Tournament

TOURNAMENT UPDATE
8/28/2011 8:03:30 AM

8:00 AM Update:

The tournament will proceed as planned this morning.   All fields will start at 11:15 AM.

REFEREES please go to www.chezref.com for updated information your assignments.

Updated schedules have been posted online.  Every team will play two full games over the weekend.   There will be no champions and finalists in any bracket, it will be a showcase type format.    Some teams will play one game per day while others may play two on one day.  Games on grass fields will end by 3 PM on Saturday and there will be no games on grass on Sunday.   Turf fields will run until 4:15 PM on Saturday and not begin play until 11:15 AM on Sunday.   We will continue to closely monitor the storm throughout the weekend and make any decisions necessary that keep the safety of the tournament participants as the main priority.

Unfortunately with the massive amount of work to totally change the schedules and get things finalized as quickly as possible we were not able to work through the over 100 coaching conflicts that we previously had worked through.   We apologize for any conflicts that your coach may have.

Please check the website frequently throughout the day for updates as the situation will continue to evolve.

The 2011 Dulles National Soccer Tournament will be held on August 27th and 28th at premier field complexes throughout Northern Virginia.

This year's tournament will be conducted at the top complexes all throughout Fairfax County.   Games will be conducted on close to 20 synthetic turf fields along with some of the top grass fields in the County.   We expect close to 300 teams to compete in this year's tournament.  There will be three or more levels of competition at most age groups with each team guaranteed a minimum of three games over the weekend.
