Coach Ellis &
Coach Rice philosophy is to "provide female soccer players
with the opportunity to develop technically, tactically and
mentally" in an environment where their "love of the game" will
grow. Always stressing Sportsmanship, Team spirit, Cooperation, and
Fun.
Coaching staff goal is the development of the player in
every facet of the game. The core belief of the
Hotspur is
that players will develop to their full potential if they
(1) love the game, (2) are well disciplined,
(3) are able to think creatively and independently on the
field, and (4) are technically proficient. These
traits must come from within the player. Our job is
to provide the structure in which the player will flourish.
Ultimately, we strive to provide the foundation from which a
talented player will be able to realize any goal or ambition
she may set for herself.
Have you ever wondered "What a Hotspur
is"?
The English Professional League (EPL) has a team called 'Tottenham
Hotspur'. In
1884 the club was named Tottenham Hotspur Football and
Athletic Club after Sir Harry Hotspur.
Sir Harry was famed for his riding
spurs and his fighting cocks were fitted with spurs which
can be seen in the crests of the Tottenham team.
