2008 Dulles National Championship

The U14 (rising U15) Elite are looking to add competitive, skilled players to play high level soccer. Tryouts will be conducted on the following dates and times. If for any reason you cannot make these dates please contact team manager for additional tryout dates:

Thurs Jun 11, 5-6:30pm @ Hutchinson turf.

The Elite will be training outdoors every Tuesday at 5:00pm -6:30pm at Hutchinson Middle School, Herndon, Va. The Elite will also be playing in the Fiesta Indoor league during December and January. We welcome any new players who are interested in playing for the Elite to attend one of our training sessions. Contact team manager.

The Elite Girls are a U14  Professionally coached & trained by Paul Ellis out of  Herndon , Loudoun County, Virginia,  playing in WAGS (Washington Area Girls Soccer League). Elite Goal:

The team will also play regularly in highest rated tournaments. This  past Spring they played in the  Jefferson Cup,  FC Delco (Pa.) Players Cup, & WAGS Div 1.   This Fall 2008 the Elite will play in Atlanta Cup, Dulles tourney, WAGS tourney and CASL Shootout. The Elite also play in WAGS Division I.

Trainers: The Elite have been trained by Darryl Gee (USSF A license, Director of Coaching LYSA, and former New York Cosmos), Abdul Conteh (former DC United, San José Earthquakes & Sierra Leon National Team), Steve Lee (USSF B & English FA license and former English semi-pro player), and presently by Paul Ellis (click for history) (USSF A License Coach, NSCAA Premier Coach and was previously head coach to Region 1 teams playing internationally in China, Germany , France, Denmark and Britain). Paul is both head coach \trainer. The Elite's success and reputation is due not only to the talented, hard-working players, but also to the quality and experience of the coaching staff. Coach Paul is committed to player development and creating a competitive environment for players to learn and grow.

Coach Ellis's  philosophy is to "provide female soccer players with the opportunity to develop technically, tactically and mentally" in an environment where their "love of the game" will grow. Always stressing Sportsmanship, Team spirit, Cooperation, and Fun.

Coaching staff goal is the development of the player in every facet of the game.  The core belief of the Elite is that players will develop to their full potential if they (1) love the game, (2) are well disciplined, (3) are able to think creatively and independently on the field, and (4) are technically proficient.  These traits must come from within the player.  Our job is to provide the structure in which the player will flourish.  Ultimately, we strive to provide the foundation from which a talented player will be able to realize any goal or ambition she may set for herself.

Play for Elite Team

 The most productive tryouts is when one or two players at a time join the team during a regular team training session. This provides a more realistic environment for the player(s) to see if they are comfortable/compatible with the rest of the team, and likewise, give Coach Paul a better evaluation of player's compatibility with his coaching style and fit with the team.  Although a player can request a tryout ANY TIME, it is better to request a tryout SOONER rather than LATER.
