Alianza Black

Herndon Alianza Black is a 2007 age group elite team.  The team is playing in CCL Premiership and also competes in top tournaments throughout the region. 

Alianza made it to the Final Four in the Virginia State Cup in 2019.  Additionally, Alianza competed in the Jefferson Cup (semi-finalist), the Baltimore Mania tournament (semi-finalist) and were Champions in the Virginian Elite tournament in May 2019. 

In Fall 2019, the Alianza girls were Champions at the Dulles Tournament (with no goals scored against them) and semi-finalists in the WAGS tournament. This spring, the team will compete in the Ultimate Cup and the Jefferson Cup in March, as well as the Virginia State Cup.

Head Coach Michelle Alioto



Michelle Alioto has over 20 years coaching experience covering the youth, ODP, high school and college levels. She is currently the head coach of the 07 Alianza Black and 04 Deportivo at Herndon, and a Virginia Olympic Development Program District and State coach. She also leads the U5 Microkicks Program for Herndon year round.

The Wisconsin native coached Milwaukee area boys and girls travel soccer and high school soccer at Rufus King. She was the head women’s soccer coach at MSOE, an NCAA Division III university, from 2002-2004, while also coaching for Wisconsin state and district ODP.

Coach Michelle played NCAA Division I Soccer at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, where she captained the team and help lead it to league championships and to the NCAA Tournament.

She has worked with Herndon Youth Soccer since 2012, and has led her 04 and 07 girls teams from the beginning of travel at U9.
