2021 Charity Ball Game Fundraiser

Please join the Herndon travel soccer fundraiser on December 18, 2021 at Bready Park! The fundraising event is highlighted by soccer games vs. coaches and includes other opportunities for donations or fundraising (see below). Players and parents can register online to player soccer against Herndon's travel coaches--all proceeds to benefit the Player Development Fund. The Player Development Fund was established to raise money to help our players participate in a soccer event or opportunity beyond their financial reach.

The "winning" coach of the Ice Bucket Challenge will receive the prize of having a bucket of ice water dumped over their head following the soccer games. The Ice Bucket Challenge is a team fundraiser for the U15b Central team that allows participants to pay $1 per vote towards the coach they would like to see win ice water dumped over their head!, and will continue accepting votes until December 17. Here's how to get involved:

  1. Ask your team manager for a ticket
  2. Ask family and friends to donate $1 to earn “votes”
  3. For every dollar collected, you can place 1 vote for a Herndon coach that you would like to see given an ice bucket bath
  4. Return the ticket and any collected money to your team manager by December 17, 2021 The coach with the most votes wins!

We will have a tent set up for our travel teams to sell any of its fundraising items such as hats, scarves, water bottles, umbrellas, etc.

Every family's donation of a non-perishable food item will earn a raffle ticket for a chance to win great prizes! The food donations will be provided to our partner LINK Against Hunger. We will also collect donation items on behalf of the families displaced by the Park Avenue Apartment Fires (see below) and bring these items to the drop-off location.
